Amaltea
Amaltea is in the early stages of the project, and aims to integrate robotics, AI, and data into the construction sector to reduce energy consumption, resource use, and waste in buildings. To achieve this, the curtain-wall façade value chain will be reimagined through the digitalization of design, manufacturing, installation, and disassembly/recycling phases. This digital transformation will involve the development of various digital tools, including simulation models, parametric design, extended digital twins, robotic solutions for manufacturing and installation, quality control systems, and recycling technologies—all enhanced by AI and data.
The goal is to create comprehensive digital solutions for the design, manufacturing, installation, disassembly, and reuse of façades, fully embedded into the value chain. These solutions will incorporate human-robot collaboration for improved efficiency in the process. Amaltea will be validated through large-scale pilots at an industrial façade manufacturing site, two real-world buildings, one in central Europe and another in southwestern Europe and a digital validation of the entire value chain.
